Why Some Applications Are Unsuccessful

Free Trial products can attract a large number of applicants, particularly when an item becomes popular. Incomplete account details, delayed requests, poorly prepared reviews, missed deadlines, or inconsistent account activity may make participation less effective.

Learning how the program works before applying can help you avoid many of these issues. The steps below explain the entire process from selecting an item to sending your final feedback.

What the Free Trial Center Is About

The Free Trial Center is Shein’s official product-testing program. Selected participants may receive eligible items to try and are expected to provide genuine feedback based on their experience.

A review may include comments about sizing, material, comfort, design, construction, and overall quality. This information can help other shoppers better understand the product. Because product availability is limited, submitting a request does not guarantee selection.

How the Application Process Works

1

Visit the Free Trial Center

Sign in to your Shein account and go to the Free Trial Center. You can also find it through Personal Center → More Services → Other Services → Free Trial Center. This area displays the products that are currently accepting applications.

2

Submit up to 3 applications per week

Users can apply for up to 3 Free Trial products each week. Unused opportunities expire rather than carry over. Choose products you are genuinely interested in testing, click Free Trial, select the correct size, and check your shipping information carefully. Your delivery country should match the regional Shein site you are using.

3

Track your application status

Applications are usually reviewed within approximately one week. Open My Free Trial or My Applications to view the result. An Approved status means you were selected and a Free Trial order will be created. A Failed status means your request was not selected for that product.

4

Test the product and submit your report

Once the item arrives, use it normally and evaluate details such as fit, material, comfort, appearance, finish, and construction. Your feedback should reflect your real experience and include original photos. It is recommended to submit the report within 10 days after delivery through Post Report. You can monitor the status in My Report. If the first report is not accepted, you may receive one additional opportunity to revise and resubmit it.

How to Make Your Review More Helpful

A complete product report should give other shoppers enough information to understand your experience. Consider including:

  • A balanced opinion that covers both positive features and possible drawbacks
  • Specific comments about sizing, fabric, comfort, appearance, workmanship, and quality
  • Original photos showing the entire product and important close-up details
  • Practical observations that could help someone evaluate the item before purchasing

An approved report may qualify for 20 points. If it receives Quality Report status, an additional 100 points may also be available. Late or incomplete reports may affect future opportunities in the program.

Main Rules Participants Should Know

• You can submit up to 3 applications per week, and unused opportunities expire

• Your shipping country should match the regional version of the Shein website being used

• Standard shipping is generally covered, though customs or import fees may still apply in some areas

• Product reports should normally be submitted within 10 days after delivery

• False profiles or improper use of multiple accounts may lead to restrictions

• Repeatedly failing to complete required reports may affect future participation

Mistakes That Can Make Participation Harder

❌ Applying before completing important account information

❌ Using a delivery address that does not match the selected regional Shein site

❌ Waiting too long before applying for an item with high demand

❌ Submitting brief or generic reviews without enough useful detail or original photos

❌ Missing the expected 10-day period for completing the review

❌ Remaining inactive and only returning when new Free Trial products appear

“I wasn’t selected during my first few attempts, so I changed my routine. I started reviewing new opportunities sooner, checking my profile information before applying, and preparing more detailed product reports with original photos. Following the process more consistently made everything easier to manage.”
